Recycling

Derry Township, in conjunction with the Mifflin County Solid Waste Authority, is offering recycling bins located at the Township office. These bins are open to anyone (you do not have to be a resident of Derry Township to recycle here). There are separate bins for the following items:

Newspapers
Any kind of newsprint excluding colored flyers.
Cardboard
Corrugated cardboard only
Plastic
Plastic bottles (#1 & #2 only)
Mixed Paper
Notebook paper
Telephone Books
Flyers
Copy paper
Worksheets
Notebook covers (w/spirals removed)
Poster board
Wrapping paper
Softback textbooks
Hard back textbooks (remove front & back covers)
Chip board (cereal boxes)
Magazines
Maps
Manila folders
Envelopes
Junk mail
Cards
Colored newsprint
Catalogs
